The opening of Payrolls Plus in South Florida in September 2004 was a result of the demand for a company with a specific service philosophy. The philosophy of combining the benefits and resources of the largest payroll service companies with the service commitment and delivery of a locally owned business has proven to be a winning combination.
Our office is owned and operated by CPAs. We serve clients throughout the US via phone, email and via the internet using proprietary state of the art platforms focused on meeting today’s ever increasing mobile world.
Payrolls Plus is centrally located in South Florida to serve local businesses located throughout Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties enabling the ability of working face to face. However, we currently serve clients throughout the Country. Our clients have direct phone access; no phone banks or “800” numbers. We utilize licensed software from a national software company as the backbone of our system. Thus the software applications are kept up to date with tax law and rate updates and enhanced with new features. Our team works with you.
Your Payroll Team
The office is owned and operated by Tom Jennings and Mindy Jennings. They head the office and have over 70 years of combined experience in payroll processing, payroll systems, payroll operations and payroll outsourcing. When dealing with Payrolls Plus, you can count on professionalism, integrity and confidentiality. Tom is actively licensed as a CPA from Florida Department of Professional Regulation, Board of Accountancy. Mindy also earned her CPA designation as well. After holding several leadership positions in major corporations, Tom and Mindy decided to establish a business that could truly support the payroll and payroll tax needs facing today’s business entrepreneurs and executives.
Working with Tom & Mindy is a team of experienced payroll specialists, several have been with the company for many years. Martha Bari is the Office Manager and she has been with the company for 15 years. Payrolls Plus has experience with a huge variety of industries ranging from restaurants, construction related companies, law firms, medical offices, schools, temples, churches, service industry, security, etc. All employees are covered by the company’s business insurance for your additional protection.
Tom Jennings

Mr. Jennings spent over 7 years in senior management of Precision Response Corporation (PRC) as Controller then CFO. Prior to joining PRC, Mr. Jennings worked for Blockbuster Entertainment as the CFO of its Music Retail Division and previous to that, as the Controller for the Domestic Consumer Division, which included Blockbuster Video, Blockbuster Music and Discovery Zone. Before working with Blockbuster, Mr. Jennings spent 12 years employed by the public accounting firm of PriceWaterhouseCoopers, LLP. Mr. Jennings is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Notre Dame.

Mindy Jennings

Co-founder Mindy Jennings graduated FIU with a Bachelors of Accounting and an MBA. After passing the CPA exam, she worked for Deloitte & Touche USA, LLP for almost 5 years. Seeking to broaden her client side experience, Ms. Jennings became the controller for a large direct mail company.
For the next 14 years, Ms. Jennings dedicated her career to working in consulting and corporate IT departments implementing Accounting, HR and Payroll systems (Oracle, ABRA, Platinum, Solomon, Great Plains) for all size companies. Her largest project was the Oracle HR/Payroll Implementation at PRC. Her experience also includes nearly two years at payroll giant Ceridian, a payroll outsourcing company dedicated to large corporations.

Martha Bari joined Payrolls Plus in December 2007 as a Payroll Specialist with over 20 years of experience in the industry. Ms. Bari has extensively worked with CPA firms, processing payroll and providing best in class customer service. Now serving as Payroll Manager, she maintains client relationships while overseeing day to day operations. She is steadfast in continuing her education of the industry in order to be up to date on the most current trends in the business. Clients are assured by Ms. Bari’s attention to detail and dedication to listening to their needs.
